Generated over 100 use case cards in around 15 minutes through an automated workflow
Overview
This project involved creating a comprehensive interactive playbook designed to help stakeholders assess which technologies to implement across a complex sporting environment. At the centre of the system was a large set of use case cards, each bringing together key strategic, operational and technical information in a format that made review and comparison far easier.
The Challenge
The challenge was to communicate a large volume of multi-layered information in a way that could support practical decision-making across different stakeholder groups. Each use case needed to bring together key considerations such as strategy, procurement, finance, innovation and sustainability, while remaining concise, comparable and easy to navigate. Manually producing this volume of structured content would also have required extensive time and repetitive design effort.
The Approach
I developed a system of use case cards designed as static dashboards, each one using clear hierarchy, visualisations and key metrics to help users review and compare options quickly. The cards were structured to surface the most relevant information at a glance while still supporting more detailed assessment within the wider interactive playbook.
To make the solution scalable, I built an automation workflow that could generate the full set of cards rapidly and consistently. This transformed what would have been a heavy manual production task into a far more efficient system, while maintaining design quality and making the playbook more practical to update, expand and use over time.
The Outcome
The result was a clearer and more robust decision-making tool that brought structure to a highly complex set of technology options. By combining strong information design with an automated production system, the project made large-scale comparison more efficient, improved consistency across the playbook, and dramatically reduced the time needed to create over 100 use case cards.
