With climate change and coastal flood risks becoming an increasing concern, Folkestone Shoreline’s new seafront development needed to reassure potential apartment buyers of its long-term safety and resilience.

Working alongside Buro Happold’s Water and flood risk consultants, I designed an illustrated one-pager that agents could share with prospective buyers—communicating flood mitigation strategies in a clear, engaging, and reassuring way. The illustration, designed with elements reflecting Folkestone’s landscape, blended a surreal visual style with technical information, helping to make complex safety measures more digestible while maintaining a sense of trust and optimism.

By balancing factual clarity with an emotionally reassuring tone, the design ensured buyers could feel confident in their future home.
